Galleri Opdahl Stavanger

Galleri Opdahl was first established in 1989 by Arve Opdahl in Stavanger, Norway. After enjoying initial success operating above the Culture House in Stavanger, the gallery relocated to bigger premises on the east side of the city in 2005. This 300 square meter space serves as Galleri Opdahl’s current location in Norway, and has enabled the gallery to present large-scale sculptural works and installations as well as extended series’ of photography, drawings, and paintings from a selection of Norwegian and international contemporary artists.
In 2007 Galleri Opdahl opened its second branch in Berlin, Germany, at a unique location between the neighbourhoods of Mitte and Kreuzberg.

In Summer of 2011, Galleri Opdahl, Stavanger went on a nearly one year hiatus and reopened in spring 2012 to focus on more outstanding and daring exhibitions with exciting international positions.
